Microblading is the art of implanting pigments at a proper depth with a hand tool, the “microblade”. It is done in such a way as to create realistic, crisp hair strokes for a natural look. Microblading is best for clients with dry or ‘normal’ skin types because the pigment retains and does not fade or blur as quickly as in clients with oily or mature skin. A 6-10 week follow-up appointment is required for optimal results.
Machine shading is the technique that uses a light-hitting tattoo machine moving back and forth to build layers of color to achieve the desired look you want.
The machine method is best for all clients including those who have textured, oily, mature, and thin skin types.
Like microblading, this method also requires a 6-10 week touch-up.
Lip blush is a permanent alternative to using smudged lipsticks or lip stains. The pigment is implanted in the lips to create a beautiful lip stain-like color without the worry of having to repeatedly apply color.
100%! The studio is kept clean at all times to ensure the safety of everyone that steps foot inside. Everything used is one-time use, disposable tools and supplies. Every single client is treated like the very first client of the day. This means that each set-up for every new client is discarded safely afterwards. All stations are thoroughly disinfected before opening and after each procedure throughout the day. The pigments used are 100% vegan and cruelty-free.
After leaving the studio I can not be held responsible for outside factors that may result in less desirable healed results. You will be provided with a proper aftercare kit along with thorough instructions, but it is up to you to follow through. Your satisfaction is our top priority and we want to make sure that you are pleased which is why you will need to come back for a 6-10 week touch-up.
Unfortunately, not EVERYONE is a good candidate for cosmetic tattooing procedures.
Procedures may NOT be done for anyone who is or has:
**A doctor’s note MUST be provided if any of the following (but not limited to) applies to you:
Getting microblading or any permanent cosmetics involves some prep time and strict adherence to aftercare (provided by your artist). The Pre/Post care section will help you decide when the best time for you to book will be. Please be sure to schedule all appointments when you have the proper time to adequately care for each procedure before and after.
Everyone has a different pain threshold but the procedure is more often described as uncomfortable rather than painful if felt at all. Numbing agents are used to keep you as comfortable as possible during the entire procedure. Many clients actually fall asleep. Ladies, please note that you will be more sensitive during that special little time of the month.
This is a time for you to treat yourself! You will have the best experience if you are relaxed and distraction-free. So for this reason as well as safety reasons, we ask that you make prior arrangements before coming to your appointment. If you would like to bring a guest, that is fine as long as it is understood that they may not be in the treatment area once we begin.
Your eyebrows from the first appointment will lighten 30-40% throughout the 30-day healing process, so there is a 6-10 week touch-up required to solidify & perfect the results.
Days 1-3 your brows will look very bold and dark. Following, from days 4-7 your brows will go through a flaking process. During this time you will be tempted to pick but absolutely Do not! No picking, scrubbing, rubbing, scratching, etc. Once the flaking is complete, (typically around 7-10 days), the work will appear extremely light, but this is temporary. It takes 30 days to see the true healed results. As the brows continue healing, the color will continue to come back. You have to TRUST THE PROCESS.
The initial session usually takes about 2-3 hours, depending on the technique(s) used. This gives us time to discuss your desired eyebrow shape, design it and draw it to your liking. Match the right color for your brows and which cosmetic tattoo technique will likely give you the best possible result. Depending on how long the brow design takes (which is typically the longest) and how frequently we need to apply numbing cream contributes to how long the appointment will run.
The touch-up appointment typically takes 1-1.5 hours. If the shape needs to be adjusted or changed, the appointment may take a bit longer.
Not exactly. Traditional tattoo pigment/ink is implanted deeper into the skin than cosmetic tattoos. These pigments/inks are used in body tattoos due to the formulation of the pigments/inks to be life-lasting.
Cosmetic tattooing (Microblading, Powder Brows, Combo Brows, etc) IS a form of tattooing but instead will fade over time. While it does fade, there is no guarantee that it will completely be gone as it is still a tattoo. You will need annual color retouches to keep your brows looking fresh. All sanitation and aftercare instructions should be followed exactly as advised to get the best results.
Permanent Cosmetics may require a touch-up (or 2) 6-10 weeks after your initial session to create optimal, long-lasting results. After the touch up/s, work generally lasts 12 to 36 months before a color refresh is needed.
The more time in between your sessions, the better for your skin long-term. Conventional makeup can be used to enhance the look of your brows. Permanent makeup will not replace makeup for all clients. The frequency of sessions depends on a number of factors, including:
Please note that final results cannot be guaranteed as each unique skin type will hold pigments differently and break down at different rates. We will re-evaluate how your skin has received the pigment at your second session and make any changes necessary.
We will not tattoo anyone under the age of 18 regardless of a parent’s approval. ID MUST be presented to be photocopied and exceptions will not be made.
ABSOLUTELY! As long as you are an ideal candidate microblading/shading can give you the look you want and your look can be as natural or bold as you would like. In some instances of asymmetry, permanent makeup may not be the solution but every attempt will be made to balance as much as we can. Always remember, BROWS ARE SISTERS, NOT TWINS.
Nope! It will help to see how your hair grows so that your brows can be customized to follow your natural hair growth. We will clean up any stray hairs that fall outside of your gorgeous new brows.
Microblading will gently fade over time. Usually, it’s a gradual process with the strokes becoming less crisp and it transforms into a softer powder-like brow. You may begin to notice that some spots are fading faster than others, or your color is a little softer. Once you have faded about 50% it’s time for a touch-up! Or you can just continue to let it fade away, although there are no guarantees that there won’t still be traces of pigment. Please note if you let it go too long between touch-ups you may have to be considered a new client.
72 hours’ notice is required if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. If you cancel your appointment within the 72-hour window, you will be subject to a 50% fee for your scheduled service. Another NON-REFUNDABLE deposit will be required to reschedule another appointment. Please understand if you are 15 minutes late past your scheduled appointment time, the appointment may be considered a no-show and the same late cancellation policy will be applied.
